The UASTEC project is a collaboration between Del Mar College and Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. The consortium works with partner high school districts, universities, and various industry partners. The team will involve industry professionals in the development of new cutting-edge UAS courses, develop new academic programs and educational pathways, host professional development workshops for educators, develop workplace competencies, and host summer academies. The project provides outreach events to encourage underrepresented high school and college students to pursue UAS educational and career pathways. This project will increase the number of skilled UAS technicians in the workforce and foster interest in UAS among faculty members and students from multiple disciplines.
